Neil Cathie began his professional career in the audit practice of a chartered accounting firm in 1974.
In 1981 he moved into industry with Australia’s leading supplier of plumbing and bathroom products. This publicly listed business produced outstanding results over a long period and for the period 1999 to 2008 Neil held key executive leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary and General Manager Finance & IT.
Neil currently holds board positions with a large privately owned Victorian based timber and hardware business and a Not for Profit Australian Apprenticeship Centre and is currently a Victorian State Councillor for Chartered Secretaries Australia.
Neil has had extensive leadership and operational experience in management, finance and IT, in particular with trade based retail businesses. He is a longstanding, trusted and respected Board confidant and advisor and has developed an intimate understanding of the dynamics at Board level of entities in which a family group has a controlling interest.
