Richard started his career in a boutique Chartered Accounting firm in the UK which specialised in working with private businesses. This led to early exposure to a wide cross section of emerging and established enterprises.
Following his qualification as a CA, he quickly moved into commerce and worked in the private sector helping a start-up business providing turnkey warehousing/distribution solutions to the high-tech sector to become an important international partner to a number of major global companies. During this time he gained excellent skills in the development of business support functions required in fast growth environments and developed exceptional commercial contract negotiation and management skills.
He then moved on to join a global technology company, holding the chief financial management responsibility for 16 countries. In this capacity, Richard worked as internal consultant for the local management teams, helping them develop their businesses, provided support in all areas from sales management through to marketing strategy and operational business controls.
Richard has developed a high degree of specialization in distribution, supply-chain-outsourcing, warehousing solutions, software development and B2B professional services.
This broad experience has provided Richard with the ability to provide structured support and an innovative approach across the whole business spectrum and a diverse range of industries.
