Simon started his professional career in 1978 as a trainee accountant in a well-known Australian manufacturing company, Humes Concrete. After 5 years of training in accounting and commercial business systems, Simon also completed his Bachelor of Business, Accounting Major in 1983.
Between 1985 and 2005, Simon has held senior finance management positions in a number of large Australian and International companies including Smorgons, Sara Lee, National Foods, Caroma and The Laminex Group. The roles held were predominantly management accounting / commercially focused, where Simon was a key part of the business management team responsible for driving business and profit improvement.
Simon's broad business experience in manufacturing, distribution and sales & marketing plus working with highly driven senior management teams, has equipped him with the ability to make significant contributions in complex business enviroments.
