There is Light - the COVID-19 Economy

We have all been impacted by the unprecedented sequence of events that have transpired because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As devastating as the events have been there are windows of opportunity emerging for many businesses globally.

In order to take advantage of these opportunities you need to concentrate on the immediate issues at hand to ensure you do not miss out as a result of the inevitable disruptions and changes that are also ahead.

Prior to COVID-19 extensive research had consistently identified that the primary strategic objectives of most privately owned businesses fell into one of two broad categories; to either grow their business (Growing) or to be planning to exit their business (Going).

While the primary strategic objectives of each business may not have changed, the COVID-19 crisis has caused a considerable shift in most businesses’ priorities. The best place to start is understanding where your business is presently in relation to it’s objectives pre-Covid. This broadly falls into three categories, shaken, stopped or unchanged.

Once this is understood, the appropriate priorities can be developed that will guide the business towards the emerging growth pathways so your business can take advantage of opportunities as they arise.
